Gary D. Quigley, 78, of Painesville, OH, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Cleveland.
He was born October 25, 1942 in Meadville, a son of Burdette and Bernice Shellenberger Quigley. He had been married to Rebecca Longstreth.
Gary attended Conneaut Lake High School. He was employed in the grocery business his entire life. He worked for Golden Dawn, Fisher Fazios, and retired from Giant Eagle.
Gary attended Life Point Church, Mentor, OH. Family and church was the focus of his life. He loved attending all of his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. He was an avid sports fan and supporter of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers.
Survivors include five children, Darla Hill (Scott) of Painesville, Gary Quigley (Marva) of Painesville, Colin Quigley (Cheriese) of Painesville, Jamison Quigley (Erin) of Mentor, and Brandy Pitts (Charles) of Painesville; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Delores (Dee) Quigley of Meadville; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsea Quigley; his twin brother, Larry Quigley; and a sister, Janet Copeland.
Calling hours will be Monday, October 4th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Sarah Roncolato officiating.
Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
