In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, playing softball, horseback riding, hunting and fishing. She and her husband also enjoyed participating in the Keystone State Games.
She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and was always looking to help other people. She would give to several organizations, including Stone United Methodist Church, the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Red Cross among many others. She also enjoyed collecting items telling her family that someday they could be very valuable and worth a fortune.
