Richard T. Johnson, 92, of Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born January 4, 1930 in Meadville, a son of Richard R. and Bernice D. Elmen Johnson.
Richard was a 1948 graduate of Randolph High School and was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952 aboard the USS Boxer.
Richard was a member of IBEW Local 1319 and later worked as a line contractor for Meadville Master Antenna, Alltel, and Penelec.
He was of the Catholic faith, enjoyed attending auctions, restoring equipment, and adored his family.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Johnson (Ann) of Meadville and Mark Johnson (Peggy) of Saegertown; two grandchildren; Rich Johnson (Hope) and Matthew Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Ainsley and Cailyn; a brother, Joseph Johnson (Alice) of Saegertown; his loving companion, Barbara Kolcun and her sons, John Kolcun (Carol) and Jim Kolcun (Mandy) and their children; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Johnson.
Services are private.
