Timothy K. Woodruff, 70, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born July 26, 1951 in Meadville, a son of Clarence and Irene Zelicskovics Woodruff.
Tim was a 1969 graduate of Meadville High School. He served his apprenticeship to become a journeyman tool and die maker at Starn Tool then worked at various tool and die shops in the area including Tech Tool and Pasco Tool and Plastics. He was currently employed as general manager at PTR Tool and Plastics in Meadville.
Tim was a former member of the Meadville Country Club. He was an avid golfer including playing at Pebble Beach, volunteering at the U.S. Open in Oakmont, and playing in local golf leagues. He loved supporting his grandchildren’s activities, including attending his grandson’s hockey games.
Survivors include son, Timothy K. Woodruff, II (Shelly) of Meadville; daughter, Melissa Engels (Rob) of Meadville and their mother, Christine Woodruff of Meadville. Also survived by daughter, Kathleen Boehme of Akron, OH; three grandchildren, Dayna Woodruff, Samuel Engels, and Nicholas Engels; a brother, Robert (Bob) Woodruff (Patti) of McDonough, GA; two step-brothers, David Winters (Lori) of Meadville and Douglas Winters (Padie) of San Marcos, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Margaret Woodruff and a sister, Margaret Jane Cremonese.
Family and friends will be received Monday, November 22nd from 4-6 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where a Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Gary DeSantis, friend, officiating.
Private interment will be in Mill Village Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Tim.
