Barbara J. Hogue

Barbara J. Hogue, 83, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Marquette Hospice House.

She was born November 15, 1939 in Worthville, PA, a daughter of Eugene and Vena Wonderling.  She married Albert N. Hogue November 1, 1958 and he preceded her in death June 20, 2010.

Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Meadville High School.  She worked in the bakery department at Quality Markets, Meadville.

Barbara was a member, past secretary, and past president of County Council of Saegertown American Legion Post 205 auxiliary.  She enjoyed flower gardening, scrap booking, crocheting, and reading.

Survivors include four children, Douglas Hogue (Louise) of Leominster, MA, Kimberley Lybarger (David) of Saegertown, Jeff Hogue (Karen) of Clarks Mills, and Ted Hogue (Robin) of Saegertown; six grandchildren, Jessica Bowes (fiancé Josh Hollabaugh), Lacie Stone (Mike), Ashley Longstreth (Jimmy), Andy Lybarger (Taylor), Sarah Hogue, and Emily Hogue, seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Wesley, Adalyn, Brooke, Kenzie, Ethan, and Ryker; two sisters, Diana Hoover and Donna Adams; a brother, Donald Wonderling (Vicki); and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three sisters, Mary Alice Armstrong, Shirley Steadman, and Norma Rockafellow.

Calling hour will be Saturday, April 15th from 2-3 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Ben Travis officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
